The three zodiac signs most afraid to leave their house: astrologer

Gemini Criss Jami, author of “Healology,” writes of the sacred sect of shut-ins, “You might be an introvert if you were ready to go home before you left the house.”

Recluses come in all shapes and signs though some birth charts indicate a greater need for solitude, more frequent breaks from the madding crowd.

For instance, people with a heavy concentration of planets in the twelfth house of isolation and the unconscious mind tend to spend more time alone and at home (this author included).

Earth signs as a whole prefer their own patches of dirt. Howard ‘if you try and kick me out of this hotel I will buy the building’ Hughes, JD ‘drink my own piss in peace and quiet’ Salinger, Ida ‘holed up for a lifetime’ Wood and Syd ‘trade Pink Floyd fame for potted plants’ Barrett are a collection of world class Capricorn recluses.

Read on learn more about the zodiac’s most extreme homebodies.

Taureans get a bad reputation for being obstinate and lazy, in truth they possess a keen understanding of exertion and expectation.

There is no bait without pay off for bulls and they prefer the guaranteed gains of their own pastures, cooking and company to most anything, anywhere or anyone.

Die hard homebody Megan Fox admits (in one of the most apex Taurus confession of all time) admitted, “I hate going out and being in crowds or being in clubs. I can’t deal with it and I don’t like it, I’ve never liked it. It’s not my thing, it’s not my persona. I’m a Taurus, we’re boring, if you’re into astrology.”

I am and it tracks MF, glad to have you in the homebound herd though we prefer “stabilizing” over boring.

Same same stay at home goes for bull icon Cher, who, in spite of creating dance floor bangers for the better part of half a century, easily prefers the couch to the club, “I have this other personality that wants to sit and be quiet, watch old movies. I’m very much of an introvert, totally.”

Another bull born introvert is award winning writer Harper Lee. Author of the seminal classic “To Kill A Mockingbird,” the interview averse, shy by nature Lee spent much of her life avoiding the spotlight and the general public, moving quietly between her NYC apartment and the Alabama home she shared with her older sister.

Further examples of reclusive Taureans include Trent ‘hole up in a house for half a decade to make a record’ Reznor and author Thomas Pynchon.

Cancer governs the fourth house of home, lineage and root systems and folks, it shows.

Comfort seeking and control needing these people prefer their own palaces, hovels and caves, require ample naps and only entertain the enriching company of a select few compatriots.

For a banner explanation look no further than crab queen Selena Gomez who freely admits, “I like to sleep. I like to relax. I like to be at home and not go out.” Same Sel, same.

If you’re in need of evidence of what a homebound crab looks like, all fleece throws and dewy, tear embossed skin, see this Instagram post.

Cancer Kristen Bell also prefers the comforts of home complete with matching cotton candy onesies and designated game nights.

New dad Post Malone who takes the cake for Cancer tattoos with his “ALWAYS TIRED” under eye ink, admits to being jubilant about trading late nights for home hangs. “I really love hanging out with my baby, hanging out with the lady, playing video games in my garage, working on projects. That’s what I love to do.”

Genius inventor Nikola Tesla and acclaimed writer Marcel Proust are yet another pair of Cancer recluses.

The latter reportedly, “rarely left his soundproofed Paris apartment, complete with a bedroom encased in walls of cork to keep out noise..

The writer Leon-Paul Fargue recalled Proust around this time as pale, with hands that seemed frozen. ‘He looked like a man who no longer lives outdoors or by day, a hermit who hasn’t emerged from his oak tree for a long time.'”

Cancer moon Taylor Swift is also another oak tree dwelling homebody who named her cat after an “SUV” character and has been described by her earnest red headed bestie Ed Sheeran as “a sort of middle-aged woman trapped in a 24-year-old’s body.

Unlikely style icon: Miss Havisham I

She hangs out with her cat and sews things.” Also totally understandable/aspirational to be a homebody when you have a real estate portfolio as rich as that broad.

The true crown of homebody crab however, goes to Eliza Emily Donnithorne, an aristocratic Cancer bride who after being stood up on her wedding day never again left the confines of her family estate.

The eccentric Victorian recluse is rumored to have been the inspiration for the character of Miss Havisham in Charles Dickens’s classic novel “Great Expectations.”

Virgo is a mutable earth sign that views the body as a temple and time as currency. As such, many among them tend to be exceptionally mindful about how they treat the former and spend the latter.

In the major arcana of the Tarot, Virgo is represented by the Hermit card, a symbol of retreat and reclusion.

In kind, the Virgo ilk are prone to perennial social distancing and solitude.

Silver screen luminary and card carrying Virgo Greta Garbo proves the point and the pursuit of privacy; after retiring from film (if not her libertine sex life) at the ripe age of 36 she lived the life of well heeled hermit in her East 52nd Street apartment, eschewing interviews and autograph requests.

Michael Jackson is an extreme example of a reclusive Virgo. In the wake of a string of sexual abuse allegations made against him, MJ spent the later years of his life in extravagant exile.

Super Virgo Zendaya who spent her 21st birthday sober and homebound, proudly flies the flag of solitary, borderline elderly hang times, “I think I’ve always been a grandma…I don’t like going out. I enjoy the company of my TV and myself.

And you know what? It’s been very helpful, honestly.” Same goes for sober uber babe Blake Lively who admits “I love my personal life so much — and my family so much.

It takes a lot to make me want to leave the house.” Rest assured though, when she does leave the house, Lively operates as an apex Virgo, as exhibited by her hopping the rope at Kensington Palace to adjust her Met Gala dress. Bless.
